  13. Product Description
  14. The Hybrid Secure Router has the ability to fully encrypt/decrypt data being
  15. sent or received over the global Internet or directly between servers and
  16. clients.  The Hybrid Secure Router software is configured on a Sun Sparc
  17. Workstation provided by either the customer or Hybrid.  The Hybrid Secure
  18. Router has a unique cryptographic key distribution mechanism and supports
  19. centrally assigned keys.

  23. The Hybrid Secure Router has three key applications that make data security a
  24. reality.

  26. A.  Global Internet Security
  27.  
  28. Security is a prime concern of all companies today.  With a Hybrid Secure
  29. Router at the server and client site, personal files, email, and other
  30. confidential documents can be sent and received via the global Internet in an
  31. encrypted fashion.

  35. Employees can telecommute safely with the knowledge that the information being
  36. transferred between their office and home is digitally encrypted.  To ensure
  37. greater security when using the telephone return channel, Hybrid will, upon
  38. request, physically disconnect the inbound external Ethernet cable connection
  39. to the Hybrid Secure Router.  Exercising this option will still allow encrypted
  40. outbound data to be sent from the office.  To telecommute at high speeds,
  41. corporations have the option of providing a high speed line directly to the
  42. nearest Hybrid Access System (HAS) Point of Presence or connecting to the HAS
  43. less expensively through the Internet.

  45. C.  Private Network Security

  47. Many corporations need to securely transfer data from one fixed location to
  48. another on a regular basis.  Whether it's a company's headquarters
  49. communicating with a branch office or a corporation sending information to a
  50. regular customer, the Hybrid Secure Router at each site ensures the privacy of
  51. the dedicated line between separate facilities.

  53. Many businesses currently only have practical uses for one of the above
  54. options.  But as your business grows, you may need two or all three of the
  55. applications.  The Hybrid Secure Router can perform all of the listed functions
  56. with minimum upgrade requirements.
